Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Team Spitfire, there has been mention in this thread of plugging the mast to prevent it filling with water. I am sure that you all experience it but I have not yet read of any experiences from anyone who has plugged. It seems to me that some Sikaflex or Simson would be effective in keeping the water...

Re: Don't show us your hook

Here are a couple of pictures of the rings I attach to my spreader bar. You will see that I have welded a half ring on the bottom of the spreader br to keep the pivot in the middle. There are other ways of doing this but I happen to have had a welder handy. The thick ring on the black line in the se...

Re: Don't show us your hook

I use a pivot instad of slider. 5 years now. I tried both and found no advantage to the slider over the pivot. I agree that the big benefit comes from getting rid of the hook and chicken loop. Re: Don't show us your hook

Alford, nice! Your picture is one of the cleanest, hookless, loopless setups I've seen on here that retains trim and flag. I started out using the Naish QR but have found that I don't need trim or flag and now just use a single sheeting line and Cabrinha mushroom release.

Re: bulk line

Hey dracop. Is that bulk line that the retailer will supply? I am thinking that I would like a spool of the 301. Can you let me know which retailer it is?

Re: Do you make your own lines?

If you are thinking of making lines, I suggest going onto nwkite.com forum and find the "making a lineset" thread. Nak is the author and the information he provides is impressive. I doubt you will find a more comprehensive and informative source on the topic.

Re: Core kite bar removing the chicken loop?

Witchard 2673 or Cabrinha "mushroom" style release.
I would suggest reading the forum topic titled, "chicken loop bye bye"
