Re: How to remove rust stains from kite?

Phosphoric acid! No damage to canopy and works a treat. You can use the stain devil for removing rust from clothing which is comercially available or get a weak solution of a phosphoric acid from a drug store. It has absolutely no damaging effect on the kite. The plus part is that you do not have to...

Re: heading to Tarifa

Bring your 4/3-5/4! it is the Atlantic big time. If you are in the water it is cold, regardless of air temp! The 3/2 is not enough insulation for this time of the year. Have a great trip, dont be tempted to kite with Levante(easterlies) near Tarifa, go to Valdevaqueros or further afield! WjM.........

Hello to all, great shot but obviously potentially deadly. When and where was it? I presume it is a course race.
Ciao..

Re: Can someone review the Cabrinha Crossbow 18m for me plea

WjM, Seriously dude? I own the 2013 18m xbow and have 3 sessions on it already! Just about everything you blasted about the Xbow is total BS! First off, the new 5 strut design along with all the other refinements have increased the turning speed imensely! The kite is much lighter now and has many s...

Re: Using an air pig as vacuum reservoir

Hola, I don’t think there will be any risk of implosion with the compressor reservoir. An air pig is used as an air manifold which is usually a cylindrical or donut shaped reservoir with multiple air connectors making it look like a sow (female pig). The multiple connectors resemble nipples and thus...

Re: Can someone review the Cabrinha Crossbow 18m for me plea

I have the 17m edge and a friend just bought the 18m cross bow. I would give it a 6/10 compared with the edge. It is a really slow turner unless you reach up and grab another meter of line to speed up the kiteloop. The kite I tried the owner put a pully system in to help depower the beast. He was un...

Re: Say NO to Olympics without windsurfing...

You are trying to hold back the tide..... I totally agree regarding the "why" windsurfers have been pitched against kiters this is an error. I also have experienced the windsurfers bully boy tactics in traditional wind surfing spots. I think it is jealousy, I am a race board enthuiast and when its b...

Re: Quick release harness it time

I have a similiar seat harness with the same release system but I dont think I would release the clasp in an emergency it would be fine on a waist harness but with the leg straps, potentially fatal on the seat harness! I can only imagine it getting dragged and not being able to get the harness off a...
