KITING DAYS

60 / 74 / 70 IN THE LAST THREE YEARS. RODE SLINGSHOT, CABRINHA, NAISH, AIRRUSH & GLOBE RIDER KITES BUT IN THE LAST TWO YEARS NORTH KITES. I guess its just a riding style 12m <22 and maybe 9m> 22 and up. I wanted to fly a North 9 meter but it was sold before I could demo the kite. It looks very very nice. Thanks for all the North info and wind ranges.

Hey, you might be right. A friend adjusted my 12 vegas kite today. I believe with a seat harness, you have to have the pigtail knots at the end. Now it has a lot of depower. Tried it yesterday. Flys better but will have to wait for some stronger wind to really test. I did however, switch my depower ...

North Vegas 06 9meter or Switchblade 9 meter?

I have a 2006 Vegas 12 meter. Got overpowered Thursday in 20 Gusting 23. weigh 175. Thinking I need a 9 meter kite for the Islands this summer and higher wind days in Florida. It makes sense when everyone out on 9 meters. Anybody got opinion on these two kites? Thanks!

Hey Rouge, That's a cool article in Sail Mag. Maybe there will be a 5 race series someday like the noods. North South East and West forums. Looks like more trends start on the west coast! :lol:

HAS ANYONE THOUGHT ABOUT KITEBOARD RACING. TWO BOUYS W/L STYLE RACING. MAYBE A MILE APART SO NO ONE TURNS TO CLOSE. SEEMS LIKE SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING FOR SPEED RECORDS - ROBBY NAISH, ETC.

Thanks for the naish kite site. some good ideas. Kited 50 times this year mainly with 12m kites. I have a Boxer 9m for high wind. Just thinking about light wind summer kite. Don't know whether to swich to from Rhino4's 16 to Rv 16 or Vegas 5.

I'VE RIDDEN 12 R4 AND 16 R4 FOR OVER A YEAR. NOW I'M READY TO TRADE. I'M THINKING RHINO 5 12 METER AND RHINO 5 16 OR A VEGAS 05 14 METER FOR A QUIVER. I RIDE UPWIND OR DOWNWIND 5-8 MILES, AND IN SOME WAVES TOO? ANY IDEAS? 8O KG WITH JAMIME PRO BOARD AND FANATIC SKYRYDER.
