Re: Firewire KFE kite surfboard - snapped after 12 hours use

Just as a followup, this issue has been taken care of for Sam regarding his warranty. I think he can concur that the issue was resolved!

Happy kiting.

Re: Can a 'Kite' Surfboard be used for normal surfing?

You should check out the new 5'8" Dominator by Firewire. The board is insane for surfing as well as kiting. THe new boards scheduled to arrive in a few weeks!

It is a very easy board to surf. It has a lot of volume, making it a perfect board for bigger than average guys.

Re: Firewire KFE kite surfboard - snapped after 12 hours use

Sam, Please contact FW through the website directly. FW has been on top of every warranty related issue to date whether it be a surfboard or kiteboard. You shouldn't be going through the local shop with the warranty as they are the middle man. Shoot me a PM or go through the official FW site. Firewi...

Re: Firewire 2010 Lineup!

Please gets some bigger testers. Your models overlook bigger guys. I'm using the bamboo 5'11 El Fuego. Another friend is doing the 6'1 El Fuego. The best board I've owned, and I've owned a pile of boards. I did have to add deck glassing to slow down the heel dents. Worth the hassle though. I ride i...

Re: Firewire 2010 Lineup!

All the kiteboards are still the Felix models. He may chime in as well with any questions. This is his journey that he started and so far the response has been overwhelming. The quadraflex we agree was a great board and still is, but we wanted the best of both worlds and thought a shorter and stoute...

Re: Firewire 2010 Lineup!

The light weight is what makes these boards rock for strapless airs! I haven't tried any of the kite specific boards, but my 5'6 Flexfire is magic. I've pounded it for a year and it's still holding up fine with no repairs needed yet. Also, what's truly amazing about these boards is the flex. The bo...

Re: Firewire 2010 Lineup!

the lineup of the 2010 Firewire boards. They are as follows: 1. 5'11" Taj 2. 6'2" Flexifire 3. *NEW* 5'8" Dominator The Quad 6.0 is not in the lineup anymore. I assume that the new 5'8 is replacing it, right? By the way, the extrem lightness of the older version was sometimes a concern in high wind...

Re: Firewire 2010 Lineup!

Firewirekite, can you give us much more detail on how you beefed up the boards for kiting - over your first version of the "kite" board construction. Did you add more layers of glass, different kind of glass, thicker layers of glass, etc? Are you using Carbon glass, or some other super strong glass...
