Re: Woo 1.0 vs 2.0 vs 3.0

Thanks Dave, saves me some work! I don't think the woo 2.0/3.0 are that much off, mostly exactly what I was thinking that I should have jumped where the 1.0 felt always way off. As of hydrofoil jumps, isn't the woo measuring them correctly and it is obvious that you can jump way higher on a hydrofoi...

Re: Peter Lynn introduce the Aero V2

Just pointing out where you could find who designed the kites and that it is no secret. AR is around 8 indeed, need to ask for the exact numbers. Factory wise I doubt there is one that produces only foil kites and no paragliders so the Aero is no exception here although the designer has a kite-desig...

Re: Peter Lynn introduce the Aero V2

All the other high performance foils are made by paraglider companies. The Aero is offering some very up to date paraglider design elements. It begs the question who actually designed the Aero, and who is building it? The promotional video is wonderful. It's a bit disappointing that they don't prov...

Re: Chrono V1 tip tucking

Loosening the main Z-bridle line is always the first step in solving tip tucking foil kites. After that level the speed system, attach it to a fixed point when level and stretch each individual bridle lines, starting with z, c rows and tip lines as they bare the least load and shrink the most. You n...

Re: Peter Lynn introduce the Aero V2

Not during competition as they were the first batch, sadly no wind on the final day to lend them out after the races.

Peter Lynn himself is not involved in the brand anymore, the designer is the same that made the successful Vapor when buggy racing was still big.

Re: Peter Lynn introduce the Aero V2

What is the weight of the sizes 16, 18 and 21 in UL? A few percent heavier compared to the V1 due to the increased cell count and mini ribs. But because they are so much more stable it is easier to keep them in the air. Forget about formula kite and see who has the fastest kite by 2020. Peter Lynn ...

Re: Carbon Foil Bar

Would you consider selling just the 3D printed bar end inserts/ line winding part? I would like to DIY my bar, but would love your end points for my bar. No problem, a set will be €30,- ex shipping and are made to fit a 25x22.5 carbon tube. I am currently at the hfpt in France for anyone to test th...

Re: Line strength for hydrofoiling ?

Thought you only needed unfinished lines. Can do anything from a short 12cm "race" stitched splice to my own developed combination of a Dyneema sleeved splice that I keep at 50cm on the kite end of the line to avoid bending stresses, prevent knots and make walking the last part of the lines as tangl...

Woo 1.0 vs 2.0 vs 3.0

Had the opportunity to test all three Woo versions on my foilboard yesterday, wind peaked at 18-21kn and was on my 15m Aero. Enough 10m+ jumps to make a comparison, but judge yourself:
