Re: where to go april, may and june?

Inderdaad, but it does have some of the best conditions in Europe with a high probability of wind.

Leucate has high probability of wind and better temps but you are still going to need at least a shorty. Dakhla could be another possibility and very warm and good wind stats.

Re: El Gouna July 2012!

Last time I went I got half a day out of 7 with wind above 16Knts. Quiet kite beach. Lots of fools pumping up 16m kites and leaving them in the sun all day. Nice hotel if you like that sort of thing. Personally I wished I'd stayed in Holland. I beleave they do get better conditions but generaly I th...

But just how much more time do you really think is going to pass before some KiteForum reader FAILS in his attempt to stoke you? And when that happens, you can bet we will ...

Re: Beaufort scale is useless.

Bft 4 or less = Cable Park
Bft 5 + 6 = 10m kite
Bft 7 = 8 = 7m kite

The scale works perfectly well for me.

Re: Biggest Bully of the Beach

Well, Billy Floyd is right. I was there down at Mohave helping a friend just rig his kite as he was just learning. Winds went SW but we weren't going out to practice in those winds. Too smart for that! SW winds are our dangerous winds. My friend rigged his kite and ran his bar and lines for learnin...
