Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

Poacher, my bet is that Virb360 or Gopro Fusion mounted to your lines and with post-edit you can achieve much more than on "horizon correcting only camera". Fix horizon, have interesting viewpoint/framing, nice transformations etc.

Re: Nick Jacobsen World Record 277 Meter with Team Brunel

What is the world record here? Highest tow of guy named Nick Jacobsen?

My own world record is on highest tow is roughly 1000m. 1000m rope plus rope stretching on HG.

Biggest kite descent and highest kite flying AGL I know is 1800m with kite landing.

Re: hydrofoil at max speed limit

Why do you omit most obvious speed limitation at higher range? Rider's body is a great drag source limiting speed. Rider drag => effectively like turning upwind in regards to kite => pushing kite to window edge => reducing power from kite. This is clearly visible in ice speed records (~120km/h) with...

Re: A case for full face?

Guys, white water kayaking helmet is one answer. Pros huck big water falls wearing those and might hit their face to hull of kayak, carbon paddle shaft or rocky sides or bottom. From height of biggest kite jumps and over with freefall (2s+) would accelerate you to highest kbhf speeds over 70km/h. Ch...

Re: Apple Watch Series 2...

Yes, the Jesse-video is what we Android Wear-users have had for a long time. And indeed it is displaying IMU-device reading over bluetooth realtime. I use it too with very cheap Sony Smartwatch-clock like Jesse does. About Android-wear version of clock-only height metering like this topic is right n...

Re: Is snowkite kiting colder than winter kite boarding

Coldest I've been kiting was -20C / -4F. It was tough for you face despite of half face covering hood under helmet. Also when it is cold on my area usually winds are very low. Low winds => So running foil kite to air and getting hot at doing it. Then skiing glasses starts to freeze from your sweat/m...
