Re: Shinn Monk in Egypt

Mike the UK distributor is selling off 2013 demos if you're interested. May need to ask him if he'll post to Egypt. He's on this forum as well.

Re: Achilles Tendon Support

Hello graemeoof , I tore my Achilles tendon 6 months ago playing tennis. And you think that Kiteboarding is a dangerous sport.   Any way the next day of my injury I want for surgery so they can reattach the Achilles tendon because it got stretched and ripped on the side (see pict...

Re: Best TS quiver size help

My TS quiver is a 12/9/7 and I have an Ozone Zephyr 17m to cover me in light winds. I haven't had a session on the 12 yet, but I've ridden my 9m and it has a surprising amount of range for its size. I have yet to encounter winds strong enough for my 7 :/ I rode the 15m and it was pretty good in lig...

Best TS quiver size help

Hey guys Calling any TS riders out there - thinking about getting a set of TS's for my next quiver and stuck for sizes. I'm 80kgs, intermediate level on twintips, thinking about getting more into directionals. Tried the 10m on demo and loved it, so now trying to decide. I usually ride 14/15knots up ...

Re: Gokova Turkey Need Intel!

I'll 2nd that - real smooth wind in Gokova. You're not going to get caught out in big gusts etc. I also did the walk to the beach everyday, and it was fine. I'll grab a balim emlek (fish sandwich) from the boat in the dock, eat it on the way, finish it by the time you get to the spot, and 15mins lat...

Haha, I'm def not the person you should be asking!

However, my friend was on his 11m Bandit and was out every time. If you don't mind swinging the kite go the 10m.

Re: Gokova Turkey Need Intel!

Hello mate, was there last year August. You're in for a grand time. I'll do my best to answer your questions - 1) Yes, there's beach storage with the schools there. You can hit up alwayswindy.com for pretty cheap. The bay has a carpark right next to the beach so yes you can bring your gear back and ...

Re: Shinn Dundee reviews please!

It eats chop, goes upwind well and when in the air it doesnt feel like a board is on your feet! This is a fun board, I was reluctant to order it as it wasnt geared for higher performance as the street or ss, but the shape looked nice. The tips are more square this year compared to last-but havent r...

Pays to try different brands (Shinn, F-One & Best content)

Been out Sat/Sun at The Kitesurfing Centre demo day down at Greatstone (great lads BTW) and got to try quite a few brands over a range of conditions, incl Airush, Best, Cabrinha, F-One and Shinn. Unfortunately didn't get to go out on the RRD Obsession (sorry Dan) but still high on the list. Not here...

Re: Kitesurfing school in Fuerteventura
You are seriously recommending that a beginner should learn in a small lagoon (more of a pool) surrounded by sharp rocks and directly upwind of a road? You have got to be kidding me!! :nono: -- Gunnar
I take your point, but I preferred the lagoon. Especially at the level I was at, wh...
