New ozone winter kites

Cheers guys!

Access and Summit are new for 2017, but it seems Frenzy is still the 2015 model. Does anyone know if Ozone plans to release a new Frenzy for this year?

Really like the new Summit look :). Anyone managed to test new Ozone stuff?

Re: What is the value of trainer kites? I don't get it.

Of course I hold the harnes handle and take the bar controls if things start to go south ;). They soon learn to "let go"(tm); they beat that instinct pretty fast. I see this a lot on YouTube, people holding the harness handle. I have taught many to fly and never hold their harness. All you end up d...

Re: What is the value of traing kites? I don't get it.

Trainers ... actually teach wrong body position / bar handling. Care to point out what's the body position on a trainer vs. unhooked full size kite? I'm talking about introduction of new kiters to kiting, not advanced topics. They have limited value of teaching wind-window to the elderly, becouse e...

Re: What is the value of traing kites? I don't get it.

I've learned using a trainer; and it was a significant waste of time. Actually it even put me on the wrong track. Trainers are not good: they cost way more then they are worth. They actually teach wrong body position / bar handling. They have limited value of teaching wind-window to the elderly, bec...

Re: Screamer 7/9/12/14 (5G) Greek Ltd

I'm not Greek and I'd buy Screamer Greek edition over the "regular" Screamer. It's nicer and the Greek flag gives a really nice touch to it. It's beautiful and says: "sea, sun and wind" to me :-))).

Good choice Dimitry!

Re: Ocean Rodeo Go-Joe , or reel leash?

Just use arm floaties for kids. They cost about 1€. They work great. Lost a board in 1m waves/non-coastal waters and it managed to turn my board top side up so I could spot it and body drag to it. People advising you to just learn to body drag probably don't really know floaties/GoJoe make also sure...

OT: Re: Please help beginner with a kite question

In the US children under 16 are never left alone. If the police runs into unsupervised minors, the parents get to appear in court and pay a serious fine, if they don't lose custody, which happens a lot. Children under 16 are never left alone?!?! Breastfeed them until they are 18, then see them brea...

Re: Cape Town Visitors - A reminder about manners

Actually I've seen a lot of kite instructors skip lessons on basic etiquette and general kiting rules -- like: Check with locals for hazards and local specific rules. They mostly thing it's their job to teach them how to water-start and "bon voyage - you are on your own".

Re: Small SLE kite (6m range) for learning vs trainer?

I use a 6 m Ozone Access depower foil kite to introduce friends to kite basics. I just googled an ozone access and it's in the $900 range for a 4m. There's no way I'll go that high in price. I won't ever use it except to train. I'm thinking in the $400 or less range lol. I bought my Access used and...

Re: Small SLE kite (6m range) for learning vs trainer?

I use a 6 m Ozone Access depower foil kite to introduce friends to kite basics. It flies in almost no wind and it's indestructable (in low wind). In avarage they learn very quickly, develop good feeling in very light wind and then I usually switch them to 10m Airush Crest where they get a feeling fo...
