Re: Another High Session in the San Juans

Ridiculously awesome! Kite sneak attack on the Red Bull event! Someone needs to donate you a GoPro with a large memory card...I really want to see your POV, cause I have flown Kendall Peak on my paraglider and those mountains can shrivel the biggest cahones.

Re: Considering a trip to Skyline for this weekend....

Jeffro, I might have to rescind a bit. Looks like we are getting some pretty snowy weather coming in. Might be a bit hard to see on the top of Skyline...80% chance of snow for Fri, Sat, Sun. Monday is looking great, DallRock, you should be right on time. If you are coming for the weekend, there is a...

Re: Considering a trip to Skyline for this weekend....

Conditions have been pretty epic. We had a couple feet of new snow fall last week and through the weekend. As the parking lot for Skyline sits at 9,600, there is almost always clean wind. Last Monday, we went up with a forecast predicting 6-8 mph from the South and we rode from 12PM to sunset. In my...

Re: Naish Park or Ozone C4....?

I can't really speak to a comparison, but I can attest to Ozone's build quality. We used a quiver of Ozone Catalysts to teach on through last summer in San Francisco. We had the kites out everyday slamming into the water, pumping and deflating the kites on jet skis, and essentially standing on them ...

Re: Looking to start snowkiting

I just wanted to reiterate...take a lesson. The cost is completely worth it. If you are exclusively riding on the land (snow, skate, buggy,...) then look into foil kites. Kite size depends as much on the conditions for the area as much as your weight (height doesn't really affect). Wind speed, snow ...

Re: utah snowkiting 2/14-2/21

Couple of thoughts for you.... First, if you are going to be in Utah for 7 days you don't need to choose just one location. Skyline and Strawberry are only about 2.5-3 hours apart. I usually pick to ride Skyline if it is a light wind forecast and Strawberry if it is looking stormy. Skyline has prett...

Re: Snowkiting Jackets

The jacket seems nice has anyone lain hands or one owns one and could give it a users review. I have lain hands on one. This is my third UltraNectar jacket and by far the best. Nice to see the quality put out by the US manufacturer. I received mine as a Christmas present and have been using it cons...
