Re: Small SLE kite (6m range) for learning vs trainer?

Hey, regardless of what kite you use.....one bit of advice from someone who has been married a long long time.....sometimes it is a lot better to let someone else teach her (at the beginning) We all know how to push our significant others buttons too well whether we are aware of it or not. getting ...

Re: Small SLE kite (6m range) for learning vs trainer?

how about using much shorter lines (10-15m) for less power on your current kite in not-very-windy conditions? can you do this, and adjust your bar so the safety will still flag out? i've found shorter lines to be really useful option for smaller/lighter people as there is a smaller wind window and ...

Re: Small SLE kite (6m range) for learning vs trainer?

Take a look at the Ozone UNO 4m. I use it a lot for teaching, use it as a buggy kite and also in 40+mph surf conditions. It's an awesome very versatile little kite. You can use it with any 4 line bar. My friend bought one for his wife (105#) to use and he used it a lot for when he went to Punta San...

Re: Small SLE kite (6m range) for learning vs trainer?

I use a 6 m Ozone Access depower foil kite to introduce friends to kite basics. It flies in almost no wind and it's indestructable (in low wind). In avarage they learn very quickly, develop good feeling in very light wind and then I usually switch them to 10m Airush Crest where they get a feeling f...

Re: Small SLE kite (6m range) for learning vs trainer?

I believe the kite that I had was a power kite brand if I remember correclty. towards the end of my training myself i was messing around with the kite in 45mph winds and slammed it in the ground fully powered and blew out almost all the channels so I just tossed the kite. I have looked at the ocean ...

Small SLE kite (6m range) for learning vs trainer?

I had a trainer kite that I used. It had the ability to be used with 4 lines but every time I tried it didn't work. It work just fine with 2 lines though. I felt like I didn't learn anything from my trainer though. When I finally put up my 12m NRG from liquid force it felt VERY unfamiliar. I am want...

Re: New Patagonia Gore-Tex Kiting Suit

I have a question. I have a couple wetsuits I use now that I bought used a couple years ago to see if I'd like the whole winter riding thing. I do like it mostly except having to get out of the wetsuit to go home and that in between time where I freeze. It's also a pain to get off. I am wanting to g...

Re: Problems with Liquid Force NRG - Please help!

The first thing that jumps at me is the 10psi thing. I go between 6-8 psi usually trying to stop around 7psi though. Ive tried pumping my kite up more than that and the valve always pops out of the one pump connection. I have a 12 model year not a 13 so don't know if there is a difference but it see...

Re: New to forum, help please

I know it's been a long time since I posted or gave an update. I think I've progressed pretty good considering everybody saying if fail or have a big accident without having taken lessons. With all the warnings it did help me to be a bit humble and go at things slowly so thanks everyone for being so...

Re: New bar for my 13 Cloud.

All i know is they lines should be equal length. When i talked to them they said my liquid force CPR bar would be good to use. I have no actual experience though.
