Re: Piq, Xensr or Woo?

I've got the PIQ because it shows you the jump height right after and really that is what I needed to improve my jumping. The readout on the water works ~70% for me as the display shows only for ~15sec after the jump probably to save battery. With sun glare not always is possible to read it. Seeing ...

Re: Fastest TT in the market ??

I use Naish motion 142x42 and like it a lot. It has right mix of rocker, flex and channels for my freeride needs in choppy conditions. Not too expensive.

Re: Death Looping to stop them?

Most of the people who get into a death loop scenario are simply kooks. The guy on the beach with the North Vegas in Cape Town for example. He solo launches while there's plenty of people around to help him. His kite sits on the beach for a while after the first loop, he doesn't unhook or pull the ...

Re: Finding a beginner kite for NJ

I had two 2013 envys. I didn't like them due limited top range. They were unstable in the upper range and unpleasant to kite. They were nice in their bottom and mid range. I liked their low bar pressure. A kite with higher bar pressure could be better for a beginner so you don't over sheet and stall ...

Re: what should your next kite pump look like?

Definitely taller. I still keep repairing and using old Liquid Force pump with extension. Angled base so pump can lean little forward when pumping. Gauge and then hose connection going down for easier wrapping hose around the pump. Some universal cap on the end of the hose to prevent sand getting in...

Re: Show me your light wind set up

200lb, north spike carbon 153x46.5, 2013 Liquid Force NRG 16m, 9-10knots up to 20. I don't like door type boards. They don't give me really more low end with my weight. On the spike I can try to learn some tricks in gusts above 12-13knots.

Re: NRG, Fat Lady, and Zephyr

I had FL 2012. Great beginner kite. Light (~9lb), flies in ~6 knots. Easy relaunch with nice float to the side. I could mow the lawn from 9 kt on 149x47. I am 200lb, 4y kiting. Great range up to 24-25 knots for me on smaller 140x43 board. But substantial bar pressure in the upper range was killer fo...

Re: North surf straps. Comfy but shit!

I think I have 2012’s and they slipped as well. I pulled insides out of one end and stuffed in folded neoprene under the cleat. It helped so far. Adjusting requires harder push on the cleat. For twintip, Juniper kiteboarding sells Axis straps with extra backup straps on ebay cheap. So far I like the...

You are right about leash length.
Liquid Force leash is shortest I found.

Re: Airstyle: the Blu-rays already arrived!

Got it in Indiana US. Thanks a lot. Love it.

BTW, Toby what line length do you use on your Dyno 18m? Do you use extensions?
