Re: 20m LEI Kites - Its Time

@Toby: Did you ever reach out to Ralf Grösel / Brainchild? With their factory and production method, they might be uniquely positioned to produce a large LEI that performs very well, initially in a small series to test market demand. He can’t design anything yet. In few months he can… So you're get...

Re: YpraSurf. My experiences with some Gong foilwings

My preferred kite foiling wing is the YpraS in size XS (460 cm2). It's easy to get over 30 knts, and super controlled in turns. If you are looking for GS style turns, it's probably better suited than the YPRA surf. Regarding the size: don't hesitate to go for the XS, as long as you have a bit of pow...

No fifth line.

Re: Virtual assistant to launch foil kite in very high winds

my idea is simple... a line between these 2 points (on B bridle), shortened about 50%... for launching safely, and once inflated, beeing released. I've tested it, it's really safer, but I don't know how to release the tension... :/ Sans tqitre 1.jpg Idea: 2 small sliding rings, 1 on each b bridle. ...

Re: Gong Masts for high-AR Wings

I got both the titanium and Alu fuselage.

The titanium is perfect for winging, but I don't like it at all for kitefoil (it's too heavy and makes the mast unbalanced in feel).

Re: Pansh Kestrel, high performance kite

Pansh Kestrel 8m on the water initial review : This week, I had the opportunity to fly this kite for 3 days in 12 - 25 knts, with the 460cm2 S Ypra xs and small fluid stab on 92cm mast. In short : I'm pretty blown away (pun intended 😉) It is incredibly comfortable in high wind - I'd never thought to...
