I have heard good thing from southern Burma during the southwest monsoon( june/july till September). Will soon post again with more info from thai expats having tried a few spots.

There is only a couple of factories producing canopy products for our dear and beloved kites. There are more or less all the same except for Cabrinha ( they do there own stuff) and North using there "latest D2" whatever thingy which is more of a good marketing trick than an actual evolution in canop...

Well i have been in Chumphon last year from mid october to end of december and it was windy most of the time. Actually i was very happy with the season there. I took a 12 m and a 9 m there and i spent about half of my time riding on the 9m kite.Winds even picked up pretty Strong with north easterly ...

Guys, let's face it Kites are good but depower line wears out far to quickly, especially if you play in high wind area you don't wanna go out with something that might hold... I think north is already trying to reduce friction on 2013 bar. ( Hole in the bar with smoother edges), eventually they will...

The skillit is an amazing board and has great durability. I have ridden both 2011 and 2012 and demo the new models as well. Cabrinha surf board are good stuff, quality is top notch. I'd go for the 2012 if i were you. Have fun.

And how about stronger canopy material and kites in general. I personally think that for 1500 E up kites are pretty weak. Leaking valves, small repairs or maintenance whatever you call it , the overall quality does not match the prices......

I have tried a couple and the best ride and construction were Carafino's...
Mango (the owner ) came by the local shop with his new boards and we had a chance to try them. I think he is on the forum as well so you could even try to contact him directly.

I have tried the Vector and liked it + can kites are bomb proof..
