Re: Triple & quad ripstop

If a different test method can produce that much differences, you cannot take them seriously at all imo. The only credible test would be a standardized 3rd party test, and none of those exist to my knowledge. I get what you are saying, but would you trust a 3rd party test if you knew a company had ...

Re: Triple & quad ripstop

Well, for one, according to the 'test results', D2 and T9600 are very similar. That was not what we were led to believe when D2 was introduced. So at least someone is lying, wether it be North, Naish, or Teijin. According to North about Trinity: The 3x2 yarn combination has proven to be the best so...

Re: Triple & quad ripstop

First of all, Im sure your slash is an awesome kite, and I respect that you find my own materials analysis to be short on science in almost every regard, because it is. Well, I am skeptical of companies data about themselves generally speaking, not just in the kiting world, Im guilty as charged the...

Re: Triple & quad ripstop

Any test results from naish or any other kite company, or a magazine test, cannot be viewed as the truth. Sorry. The graph and numbers are meaningless until it comes from independent sources in no way affiliated, which is probably just not going to happen. To me, after weight, stretch is a more imp...

Re: Cabrinha S-Quad vs. Naish Global?

Global is the one board i can't get away from. It does change from year to year, and this year it is a fair wider.

Global had a killer tail rocker and so narrow it is easy to hold and keep in control at almost any speed.

Re: 2018 Naish Thrust Surf Foil

anyone know if the wings are compatible 2019 and 2018? I ride the Shinn mega K and the naish xl - and I want to go even bigger - btw these foils are great fun for kiting - esp when teamed up with the 12m ultra. Yes all Naish wings should make the cross-over years nicely. So if you have 2018 wings t...

Re: black kites

WTF.
no it's bullshit. Ask how the kite had been protected against UV light. That's it. Everything else is dumb.

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

Yeah pretty much every other company stopped using these. The pulley wheel can be super sharp and cut through a bridle. They aren't made for kiting. Kiting for 700 hours / 350 sessions / 3.5 years that's how long they are good for the pulleys and bridles until it becomes the time to think of replac...
