Re: 9m Naish Pivot

Flew my friends 11m Naish Pivot (2018) at the weekend.... Wow!.. what a boosting kite and so easy to fly (coming from Naish Torch's), I really enjoyed just boosting all session on it. What sort of height are people getting on their Pivots ? I know Kevin Langree got 28.3m on a 9m in Cape Town. Reall...

Re: New boards vs old boards?

This is the reason why I keep a Naish Global in my quiver. Now Naish has updated the shape through the years, but having a board you can really rip the waves with and go fast once the surf is bigger is critical IMO.

Re: woo2 vs. Woo3 and why I've recommended upgrading for higher jumps

Just note, I think the woo sounds like a fun way to put some fun into a friendly session. I can't be bothered myself but its because I know I would never recharge the woo or get any data out of it.

Should go without saying to keep them as close as possible. A Woo on the toeside edge will move a lot more up and down than a Woo on the heelside edge.
How do you figure that? They are stuck to the same inflexible plate.

Re: Naish Repair Hack

Also, be careful when you pack the kite. I had my Pivot packed pretty tight when I traveled and also had a slow leak when started to use it. It turned out that the threaded cap had deformed the lower part on the v-shaped area that seals against the rubber gasket. Luckily plastic is viscoelastic so ...

Re: New boards vs old boards?

Thanks you for the input. Its quad also. Problem is that we dont have big waves here :) So I dont know if its a keeper when I travel 😉 But its only 300gram (5 10)more weight than slice flex (5 3) It can still be fun tho. I think I know the board you are referring to. Its a great board for powered s...

Re: Cabrinha Trimlite OD bar 2017 and Naish Pivot 2017 Kite

Ok, just an update and thanks for all your help. That bar was unbalanced by about 8 inches at least....fucked up. the naish pivot doesnt have a big high wind range but its all good now after the balance, didnt think of it. normally i would but since it was new to me i didnt suspect it. thanks again...

Re: Naish Repair Hack

Hey Chirojoseph, My last kite session I had the same problem with my Naish 12M Pivot. I did the bubble test this morning and found the same thing you did, a very slow leak at the main inflation valve. Could you kindly expand on how you resolved the issue? I am hesitant "rip apart" anything. Your ex...

Re: 2 straps versus 3 straps

Here's a video (I believe I posted it already a couple of years ago). Not very exciting, but shows my feet in great detail! The board is 18" wide, only 4'10" long, doesn't have much volume & has a relatively flat rocker line. My front foot is pretty much parallel to the axis of the board, so the he...
