Re: PSA: CHECK YOUR HARNESS - Friend of mine got luck, really lucky

Yeah that sounds sketchy and definitely something we all need to keep an eye on. Another lesson is, of course, to not boost super high in 4 feet of water.

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

We can debate whether or not climate change is real and/or caused by us until the cows come home, but we will die of old age before we know the answer. Which is why many people could give a shit less. No we will not. If we fight over if it is real instead of what we can do, by the time most notice,...

Re: Three strut Hybrid C kites for foiling?

Hi all, I was wondering if someone has some experience riding hybrid C kites (FX, Dice, Enduro, etc.) with a foil in light winds? Some of these are pretty light like the FX and Enduro and perhaps would work in 8-12 knots (12m). Thanks I've ridden the Naish Slash in light winds. It works really well...

Re: Cloud vs Reo.

No problem to restart cloud in light wind IMO. Clouds also works well in surf since they drift really well.

Re: 2018 quiver advice?

I've mentioned many advantages. One is that it's out of the way, it is also not susceptible to uv degradation like an external system is and the is no discernable difference in pumping up or deflating an external vs internal if you set it up right. If you don't (forgetting to close the thingies on t...

Re: 20 Years of Kiting!

Yes, the kites were cheaper though, but in 2001 I had quiver of ARX: 8, 10, 12, 14, 16. Never knew which size to take...loving today just using an 18...best way to progress if you have the same gear all the time. haha nice, but for most people riding an 18 is probably the worst day kiting ever. Thi...

Re: 2018 quiver advice?

:thumb: :thumb: If you are isolated and have problems with the octopus inflation (it happens) it will be a nightmare. Quad tex is just one more marketing gimmick. Would be wiser to go for an rpm/enduro/bandit/drifter style kite... Nonsense. The really few times I have had any issues with the Octopu...

Re: 20 Years of Kiting!

haha this is such a cool thread. Rick Congrats!!! You've been a great resource for the kiteboarding community in all those years. I got into it in 2001. The first kite I ever got was a Naish Aero 12 kite. My first board was a Naish Mutant. So many years of fun on that kite..the board meh, but legend...
