Re: Triple & quad ripstop

Don't wish to get into an argument, call 20 years of sailmaking "intuition" if you please, just giving my point of view: 1 Specifically the quality of the Dacron. 2 Weight does matter' 3 Physics also apply to kitesurfing. 4 Increasing recommended air pressure is good, but it is not the thread, even...

Re: Triple & quad ripstop

Another marketing gimmick I heard of lately is Naish advertising the "new" super strong thread used to stitch the leading edge or their kites. Thanks to this "innovation" you can now inflate your kite to 60 +psi. Whatever, thread strength has never been an issue on leading edges even with "traditio...

Re: Totall novice

Your board skills will serve you well later, but as you have understood kite skills is what gets you going and doing it safely is critical....but you understand that so you are way ahead of the cur...

Re: beginner hydrofoiler questions

Just want to add make sure you do not go underpowered. Later on you can go very underpowered, but in the beginning just getting up on the board and get going should not be a concern.

Re: Leading Edge Bulge

Just ordered a 2019 8m Pivot with a BTB bar. See what is like when I get it. The problem with where I live, it’s a 6 hour drive to the nearest kite shop so you can’t try before you buy. Hence my question about LEB. To me a strong frame is as important as a strong canopy. Cheers, Chicken-loop Nice!!...

Re: Leading Edge Bulge

My agenda is buying a new kite. I was leaning towards a Duotone Neo until I saw the colour scheme. Now exploring other options for a surf/freeride kite.. What size are you looking at? I dunno if you like the color scheme on the new Naish kites (I love the look of the teal / red), but apparently the...
