Re: Hydrofoil build - Cape Verde - From scratch, help needed

You are more than welcome! But I will not take all the credit for most of what I have learned is from MISTER FK24! Like almost all of the refined designs today, if they even acknowledge it or not. I built KBHFs before any dedicated forums even existed and they worked, but it was not until I had the...

Re: Hydrofoil build - Cape Verde - From scratch, help needed

Update and big picture dump, here ya go Denisesewa. When a lady asks.. =) So, things are moving along with the build. My mast is assuming its final shape and the mountingplate and fuse is now attached. I have reshaped my board, layed in inserts for hooks/straps and will soon start reinforcing it. I ...

Re: Magmafoil "Single Screw System"

The Fone project was presented early July 2014: http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/18/48/27/11/captur11.jpg http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/18/48/27/11/captur10.jpg I have seen the F-one foil here in Cape Verde, and it has a similar system but the screw-rod goes from front piece to back piece, and is screwe...

Re: Fin boxes for sliding plate mast mounts

AndKite: Thanks for that. That's quite a weight to be lugging around. Dave That is true. But then, i rather have a slightly heavier board that holds up, and that allows me to adjust the positions. I am a beginner both in construction and in riding (never tried) so i rather focus on things holding u...

Re: Hydrofoil build - Cape Verde - From scratch, help needed

Thanks! I sure hope it gets stiff enough now! Demian is just shaking his head :D Rev, you'll be pleased to hear that the overall dimensions seem very similar to what you adviced me, and especially the rear wing, as you can see on the pic, is similar to what you described to me. He was just adjusting...

Hey Dave

One 15 inch finbox from viralsurf weighs in at 225 grams, including the square nut that is in there for the fins to use, which i cant seem to get out of there.

Hope it helps!

Re: Fin boxes for sliding plate mast mounts

They sound promising then. Are you planning on wrapping them in closed cell foam, board lady-wise? http://www.boardlady.com/extrainserts1.htm Also have checked you can get w/s mast nuts in the slot? And have you found a reasonable source for the nuts or are you going to make your own? One last thin...
