Re: Begginer strapless surf board - North nugget, airush mini monster or suggestions

:thumb: I think a very wide board like the Nugget will make it much harder to waterstart and carve. After 3 sessions when you can stand on the board, width won't really matter. I say buy a $100 used surfboard and ride it til it breaks (maybe a season, maybe less). By then you will now what kind of b...

Re: Stance ?

To reiterate previous answers: - Very few people are naturally, fully ambidextrous, especially when it comes to boarding sports. If you are one of the lucky ones then go ahead - practice a little bit and enjoy front-side riding on both lefts and rights. For most of us it would be very frustrating an...

Re: FireWire Evo KiteSurfBoard

IMO, the Evo planes a tiny bit better and goes upwind a tiny bit better but that is not why you buy a wave board. The Vader is way more fun on the wave, goes more vertical, faster turning, blah, blah, blah.... Guess you’re going to have to demo✌️ :thumb: I have exactly same experience. Have both Va...

Re: Stance ?

... but most average surfers tend to keep to their preferred stance, and ride either frontside or backside depending on whether the wave is breaking left or right, we can mix it up ... Most average surfers??? Besides few "unicorns" like Jeff Clark or Todd Smith can you name many ambidextrous surfer...

Re: Disadvantages of wave kites

Translation: I have never learned to kite strapless  Straps suck ! They get in the way and when on a surfboard you need to re poison your feet all the time. with straps you're screwed. Disclaimer - I started out as a dedicated strapless rider, now I am dedicated to straps for more performance....
