Plummet, Raglan would be an ideal place to kite hydrofoil and not to far from the Naki.

Sorry all for the slow response , After showing my boss at work what I have been able to do he is going to back me with not terminating my employment due to lack of work and allowing me to try and put a foil into production. The thing is I have to pay for my own materials and he will continue to pay...

I had my foil mounted on an North Kontact 6'2"X17.5" wide it took a bit to get planning so I mounted it onto an old Naish fish its 20" wide and 5'5" long way quicker to get planning and easier to handle, the board has a large nose rocker which helps not to nose dive.

This is my board I didn't reinforce the foam and even with the carbon on the deck and bottom the foil has caved into the Styrofoam .the mounting points are a solid link from the deck to the bottom and it still isn't strong enough .

Fin boxes normally use a small screw 1/4" or less ,if you use a Mast Track Box it uses a 8mm or 5/16" screw the longest mast track box I can fined is 10" = 250mm and I would recommend you use a hi density foam with reinforced deck and bottom note the board has either a slight 'V' or concave and rock...
