Re: 2018 Naish kites

Could someone tell me how much the 14m and 9m Pivots weigh? 2017 model is fine. I'm also curious if the Pivots generate any power while looping, for say, a dark-slide or jesus walk, or if per the reviews, they just pivot w/o generating much power. I've never flown one but am thinking if there's a lo...

Re: Kite suggestion req - bang for the buck air

I have not had the chance to fly the RS yet, so I will speak to my experience on the Roca V2 (2017, 10m) compared to my Pivot (2016, 6m). Both ..... Speaking to weight, I am afraid I have no clue. Looks like the RS has a variable number of battens per size, seemingly more on the larger kites. I bel...

Re: Kite suggestion req - bang for the buck air

If you can find a Roca in the size you want it will probably serve your needs very well. I find the Roca a little more direct/aggressive than the Pivot but lighter than the TS. Otherwise, the Eleveight RS is its spiritual successor. The Naish Park is also good and should be pretty cheap if you can ...

Re: Eleveight kites

I'm in the market for a 14m kite... has anyone demoed the RS in that size and if so, how was it? I'm torn between the RS and the Naish Pivot 14m but haven't flown either... just going by the specs and some reviews. Also wonder which would be the lighter kite of the two. Thanks.

Re: Naish Pivot 14m vs Cabrinha Contra 13m

Does anyone know how much the Naish Pivot 14m weighs (with bridles of course)? Am looking at getting one sight unseen but am concerned that with the "heavy duty" fabric used it might be heavier than I expect.

Re: Kite suggestion req - bang for the buck air

No not really sure in the US, but the distributor have a Facebook page, maybe send them a message and ask for a dealer near you? Maybe even a demo? :) https://www.facebook.com/eleveightusa/?fref=ts Yeah, I shot them a couple of emails. I ended up ordering a 12m RRD Obsession; the price was very goo...

Re: Kite suggestion req - bang for the buck air

Eleveight RS sure impressed me with hangtime and playfulness. Still need to test the big sizes though, but felt fun in the small! Do you know who sells these US? I don't see any pricing or weight info, otherwise it looks like it fits my requirements nicely. Update: found some pricing info from one ...

Re: Kite suggestion req - bang for the buck air

There never was a 14m Turbine size and 17m is too damn slow. The 2017 smaller Turbine sizes are jumping and upwind machines flying way bigger than the size. I squeezed higher and longer jumps from my 9m Turbine flown side-by-side with 12m Ozone Catalyst (older version). 11m or 13m Turbines should b...

Re: Kite suggestion req - bang for the buck air

switch nitro is great but it is a heavy kite so maybe not what you're looking for. but honestly unless you're foiling, the weight is not really an issue, I had no problems with my N4 12m until I started trying to ride it with a foil in light wind (too heavy) and a surfboard (doesnt drift at all). f...

Kite suggestion req - bang for the buck air

Kiteboarding for 7 years, I weigh about 71kg and own the kites you see in my profile but with the local conditions I use the 13.5m RRD Obsession 85% of the time. I'm looking for a replacement for this kite as it's getting old (2010) and is very heavy. I'm looking for something that will give me max ...
