Re: Ozone vs Core

The brand is irrelevant, their all the same give or take. It’s getting the right model from the range for what you wanna do that counts. Having said that, pretty much all modern kites are fine for beginners so I really wouldn’t worry too much. YEP !! :thumb: One thing i would do , before Ya conside...

Question #1: How about the "ultimate pulley" above the depower strap bar1.png The advantage is that center lines are always balanced. Can you think of a single disadvantage that would invalidate this design? Bonus point: design a single line safety system for it (therefore, the answer does NOT conc...

Re: Have lei kites gotten any better in the last 6 years?

In my daydreaming and pencil on back of serviette scribblings I've often pondered on a sort of twin skin foil lei hybrid, to give the foil platform more protection against wind sheer and shifts. Probably be a bit too expensive for mainstream use but could possibly find favour in race foiling. I nea...

That kite wasn't as powerful as the newer Edges ; but it had a WAY bigger

Re: Pulleys on kites

All ozone lei's are pullyless. What do pullies give you? Potentially more depowered and turning for less bar stroke. Disadvantage can be more vague less direct feel, moving parts wear out faster than static bridles. I have an old Ozone Edge, (2008) that still flies some-what OK , (other than a stre...
