Re: Looking for kite recommendation that fit my style (mixed, but mostly oldschool)

You TT riding sounds similar to mine. I am 50/50 TT/SB. I have pivots and drifters for waveriding. The 2013 switchblade was one of my favourites. I've got Nitro 5 in 8m and 10m now, really like the direct feel and hangtime. Getting height in a jump is not as easy as switchblade's sheet in and go but...

Heavy table cloth over the mountain this morning, guaranteed to have 30+ knots.
Just needs some swell, it's rather flat.

Re: Not enough wind for King of the Air ?

About 14-15 degrees, much warmer than usual the past few weeks but that's because we've had plenty of onshore during the day to keep the warm surface water in the bay. The water only goes freezing cold 10-12deg when the SE blows hard all day and all that warm surface water is blown out to see and re...

Now I see a 24 hour call for tomorrow https://www.facebook.com/events/1037677 ... 930510301/

Good luck with that, at least the spider monkeys will be happy.

Re: Not enough wind for King of the Air ?

The wind forecast has not been very accurate for the past two weeks. Some days it predicts 15kn and there is no wind, other days it predicts 15kn and there is 30kn. The temperature has also seems a lot cooler for January, maybe that is making it difficult to predict. It must be real frustrating for ...

Re: Who is going to be King of the Air 2017?

I've seen Lewis doing some pretty sick mega loops here, he looks back on form and is in it to win it. I also saw Steven doing a double handle pass yesterday at least twice as high as aaron did them last year. I am almost sure I saw him do a triple handle pass as well so it looks like he is practisin...

Re: Cape Town by myself

I kite alone most of the time, trying to find the most uncrowded spot. There are plenty of kiters/spectators around looking out for you if you worried about drowning or losing a board. The only thing I leave on the beach sometimes is a pump. However it may be (ab)used by other kiters while you're on...

Re: The Truth behind Naish Warranties

I wouldn't really expect the shop to pay for any of andy's kite damage but it was nice of them to offer the repair at cost. My pivot's leading edge also exploded when I crashed in the water after a wipeout, kite was about a year old at the time. I didn't think twice about it being a warranty issue. ...
