Re: Len10 now riding Best!

I have to say that BEST was a sh*t brand. The kites were awful, unreliable, unattractive and in the end who could ever name a brand "BEST"? It is like that chinese tennis racket that I bought for 5$ in Thailand, which had a name tagged "Professional". However, I have to admit, under the new managem...

Re: Red Bull King of the Air is back

huge airs are what made kiteboarding popular and it's a shame this part of the sport has been somewhat forgotten. good to see it back. I have nothing against wakestyle, huge airs are just a lot more impressive to the average person.

Re: Homemade Electric Kite Pump

Very cool. Do you have a part number and source for the pressure gauge with valve? I definitely prefer the manual approach (pressure gauge and switch). These pumps are great, but the electronics were not terribly robust. I've converted a whole bunch of them by gutting the electronics and replacing ...

Re: Homemade Electric Kite Pump

@tomatkins Yeah I plan on sealing the box with resin or varnish to make the whole thing waterproof @spork the pressure gauge has a backflow valve on it, i set it up so the high volume stage blows the air through the backflow flap and into the kite, and i connected the high pressure stage in front of...

Homemade Electric Kite Pump

I decided that it was not worth spending $300 on a pump so i built my own. I already had the high volume stage which i used to use for my dinghy, and i bought the high pressure stage for $25 (Thanks to info from Spork), and i got the battery for $20. It is essentially the same pump as the Bravo BST ...

Re: Luderitz is ready to break new records

Boy, that Sailrocket is going to be hard to catch with a kite!!! Particularly when you consider the new 59knot record was set in only 25 knots- it's just soo much more efficient than the windsurfers/ kiters. There's a pretty big gap to close now. Kiters just might have to go back to the drawing boa...

Re: water TT kiteskiis - how real is this?

Yeah sure it can be done. But I don't think you'll have more fun on the long run. Maybe after one session you'll prefer your twintip again. Sometimes I take my feet out of the straps and I ride my TT like a monoski. Fun, but not anything more than that. You can sit on you're board too. Only i...

Re: narrow beach self launch

This will only work if the water doesn't get too deep too fast, what I would do (after you pumped your kite up) is lay your kite on its back with the LE into the wind (The position it's in when you pump it up). then, while holding the LE to stop it from blowing away, walk your hands down the LE unti...
