Re: Core xr5?

Great Thewindego! I also own the 4, I'm looking forward to read your report about the new creature. Frankly speaking, I don't think I will sell my 4 since it's really in perfect conditions but I appreciate if you can report anyway.

Thank you and enjoy the new baby!

Re: Core xr5?

I agree. Seems just a refining of the XR4. That's what I was saying in the above post, very little room for real enhancement. It's not only Core, it's a general problem IMO.

Re: Core xr5?

Graphics are not the problem. The impression I have about all new kites is that we are now on the upper part of an asynptotic curve. Every new model is for sure somehow better than the previous one but innovation is really a one digit percent value. Unfortunately, this is becoming true not only on a...

Re: Serious crash

I own two (Sensor and Sensor Pro) Core bars, never had any accidental release. I think this (very lucky!) guy didn't notice that the QR was already a little bit turned when he began the session. This is not a problem of the Core bar anyway. The Core's QR stays perfectly in place until you rotate it ...

Sometimes I use a Sensor 1 Bar with my XR4 11 and no problem.

Re: Shinn "Bite" fins made of nylon? Longevity with abuse?

I own two Bronq, one is brand new (the new XL 150x50, just one session), the other one (136x42, first edition) have more than 50/60 sessions and it's quite perfect. I didn't notice any abnormal wear&tear neither on the fins nor on the pads, same as my other brands boards (Nobile, CKT).

Re: New player in the business,,,

@jakemoore and TomW: this is what I mean, administrated open source. The class sets the rules, any manufacturer can choose if it's the case to get in the game or not. Rules must be very compelling, de facto leveling the difference between the different brands. Also, an X-years minimum gear lifespan ...

Re: New player in the business,,,

I'm not a kite racer but I've been a windsurfing racer for many years. I also like the idea of a race class but I don't like the idea of a branded race class. A race class must be "free". The class rules must declare the exact requirements (measures, sizes, type of board and sail and so on) but can'...

Re: Snake Attack Kiter

You're going to laugh now but also on our lake there are (very small) snakes. They're harmless and they always try to swim away but if you go too close and they feel in danger they have a really singular behavior: first of all they hiss, then they "simulate" a bite but with their mouth closed. If bo...
