Re: Ralf Groesel and Bullshit Light Wind Claims

IMO, it's not only a question of how many knots but also how steady is the wind. I can ride in 6/7 knots without problems with my FS Speed 5 21 and a big TT, but the 6 knots must be STEADY, not something going up and down from 4 to 8, because in 4 knots a little mistake is enough to send the sail in...

My two cents: Sonic 3, with short lines if you want it reactive.

I add this to all the good suggestions already posted: in the video, it seems you're looking at the sail while you're in the air. Look forward.

Re: Kite Designer Pat Goodman leaves North

@Baptiste: I'm not sure about what I'm going to tell but sometimes I have the impression that on a certain spot in a certain period a brand "rules" not because it's better than others but due to the fact that if I see with my eyes or, better, if I have the chance to test a Brand X kite, it's far mor...

Re: Sonic 3 13 or 11m?

I own a 13, excellent and super funny. At about 70 kgs., I can stay upwind with a TT from about 10, jumping good from about 12. Nice till ~20. In subten, I use a large TT (Shinn Bronq XL 150x50). Never tested an 11 probably faster and sportier.

Re: Why FS should consider adding a 23m Sonic 3 to their lineup

As martrench, I'm very curious about a Sonic 21 review. I own a Sonic 3 13 and a Speed 5 21 and they are soooo different! The Speed is easier and far more predictable but the Sonic is far better in any aspect except in very gusty (VERY gusty) winds. I'm quite tempted to sell the Speed and buy a Soni...

Re: Core Sensor 3 chicken loop releasing on it own

Take my 2 cents with caution as I'm speaking about an old ESP bar. I bought an XR 11 in 2010, then (I think) in 2012 I had the same problem reported here. I wrote to Core and explained the problem. They sent me a courier to fetch my bar, they checked it and there was a problem with the internal spri...

Re: What is the oldest kite you are still using?

Core XR 7. The good news about this kite is that it's exactly as it was the day it left the factory. The bad news is that I can fly it 2 times a year in my home spot! :(
