Re: kiteboarding bootie suggestions

I use the Xcel TS drylock split toe - I wore the five fingers, and loved them but I was getting a fair amount of sand in them so I switched to a low calf boot. The transparant soles are great for flexibility and have a good grip (which may be a detracting factor for you). The transparant rubber has ...

Re: Great news: North introduces the book "True" - ten years

In North's case their Kite/board/accessory line is a brand extension.
I would guess that 95% of their revenue comes from North Sails - I believe they are currently the largest sailmaker in the world.

The book looks pretty awesome though, cool to see the history of these brands.

Re: Royal kites.. Wheres my kites

In reading all of this, and in my limited knowledge of an average supply chain it seems as if they are having some serious cash flow problems. I would think they are overextended and therefore have capital tied up elsewhere - marketing/promos/capital expenditures/real estate/etc. and therefore can n...

Re: hidden lines?

I thought this was weird as well, why would they have a premier in several locations and then not say a word about it? Usually you have a premier and then release a DVD or something soon after. I was wondering what happened to this film as well, I'd like to see it :( It is bizarre, you'd think they...

Re: hidden lines?

I've been wondering the same thing since I saw the trailer a couple of months ago. They have a number of comments under the trailer on Vimeo asking about release date and such, but no responses from them. I just sent them an e-mail to see if I can get some more info as I want to see the full length ...

Re: Suggestions for pads/straps with maximum foot retention

I ride on F One Platinum Pro pads, as well as the Liquid Force Luxury Pads, and hands down prefer the F One Plat pro pads. FOne - They have a pretty simple, yet functional design and are incredibly comfortable. No slippage in bare feet or booties. The straps are easy to adjust pre-session or out on ...

14m RPM, but after all this talk on here and sitting on the beach for the past week I'm thinking about getting a 21m Speed 3.

Re: Getting into kiteboarding with my wife

+1 on all the recommendations above - depending on the wind speeds where you live look into an inexpensive LEI (Leading Edge Inflatable), it will help you avoid a world of hell in learning on a foil - especially in the water. 10m - 12m is generally a good size to cover you, but again depends on the ...

Re: Wetsuit question

Hey Ronnie - No I didn't attach to the suit. The stick side is serious (3M industrial I think) so I didn't want to take a chance with what you just described. So I cut 4 equal parts (2 soft velcro/2 hard velcro) stuck one soft to one hard, and when I kite just put the soft side against the neoprene ...
