Re: What's the worst thing about kite surfing?

Beginners who can't be bothered to walk up or down wind for 5 minutes before launching and instead stand right in the middle of where you're riding with their kite at 12 whilst they mess about with their footstraps for 10 minutes.

Was I talking to you?
You replied to my posts so the implication would be yes, you were. Or is that not how conversation works in Cumbuco?

Re: Kite companies - please stop the wakestyle hype!!!

Really? Looks like the ones who made the lawn mowing comments clearly don’t know shit about this sport if they think it’s either mowing the lawn or handlepass. You bought into a hype created by the industry and have no firsthand experience of the sport. Just typists and wet dreamers! I never mentio...

Kooks like you started spouting off their uninformed claptrap and then got angry when they were called out for it.

Re: Kite companies - please stop the wakestyle hype!!!

Well, let’s see, I’ve talked to at least three dozen Kite instructors in my lifetime— these are professionals — and none of them cared to recommend a handlepass.... I also flew next to a double femur fracture from a handlepass in boots once ... is that sufficient to back up my claims? You are getti...

Re: Tantrum / inverter frontroll- any different?

Tantrum is an unhooked backflip.

Frontroll is an invert by definition. It can be hooked or unhooked but the axis of rotation is different to a tantrum.

Re: Who calls LEIs vertical structural elements "masts"?

Are you saying this shows that mast is the right word or not? I think this passage proves that it is not how mast has been used in the past. All of this is about supporting something up in the air. A vertical support for something under the water (propeller shaft, hydrofoil) is a strut. i guess it ...

Re: Modern wave kite

Anyone tried Airush Wave and Core Free? I've ridden an airush wave and a slingshot rev. The two kites are nothing alike. One drifts well but isn't great for jumping. The other jumps ok but doesn't like having slack lines and pulls far too hard to ride waves effectively. Starsky was spot on with the...

Why not just write your contact details on the inside (or outside) of your wetsuit with a sharpie?
