Re: Bladder valve replacement

Thank you everyone with your advice it worked. Now I realize the bladder maker has put a second layer of bladder material under where the old valve was. It is still adhering to the bladder. Can it be roughed up and cleaned so the replacement valve will properly adhere. The replacement sticky valve i...

Bladder valve replacement

I have removed a bad sprint valve on my cabrina kite and now i'm trying to remove all the glue residue. Any suggestion?
I've been using rubbing alcohol but nothing seems to be coming off the bladder.
Has anyone used goo gone on a bladder?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Air show in Fort Lauderdale. Is it safe to kite?

If the show is over the water they will probably ask you to leave the area. You probably won't be in too much danger unless your kite gets over 200 feet. As an investment in public relations you might want to stay clear. A red arrow military jet aircraft once hit a yacht mast at the 105 foot level; ...

King of the Air question

I saw on the live stream that all the competitors had to wear impact vests. Which could have a pocket in it for a competition GPS Also that 70% of the score was based on height of the jump. With so many GPS devices available today I'm surprised that each competitors wasn't given a GPS to wear that w...

Re: The Kiter and the Whale

Great experience seeing the whales. I was once talking with an American fisheries office and told him about windsurfing in Maui and a whale surface close to me. He informed me that a fisheries officer had been there to see the encounter I might have gotten a ticket because a boater is not allowed to...

Re: Kwajalein, Marshall Islands

I was there 10 yrs ago and got to windsurf. At that time the individual I was on the water with told me they could only surf in the lagoon and not on the outside. Water was very warm 90f plus but that day I had a great sail. I suspect the trouble might be the launch and the fact the MPs might consid...

Just asking; why the body drag if you can kite right off the beach and out the corridor?

Re: Fitting kiteboard gear inside Mitsubishi Evolution?

I have an STI hatch. Works well for kiting; I have a kite golf bag that fits very well in either side with one of the back seats down. Bag holds twin tip (142), 3 kites, pump, bars and harness plus one kite bag. When I looked at the EVO Lancer I found the trunk very small with the battery back there...
