... Is it easier to sew a bigger kite rather than going smaller? There is not much difference between 9 and 15 in the matter of difficulty. It's more a matter of cost, workbench size, time etc. For the first kite I always recommend to start small and gain some experience. The teaser is a good start...

Your leading edge is twisted between the green and the purple segment (pic 2). This may be caused by twisted bladder stretched fabric Reassemble your kite and use some talcum to enable the bladder to slip in the right position. I also designed a strutless kite, with attachable struts wth a clever velcro system, so you can have a strutless, 1 strut, 2 strut or 3 strut kite, by adding struts. Kite worked great, but I did not want to go into production with it, now the idea is out there, some other kite company may bring it ...
