Re: Ambitious kiter looking for a two-kite-quiver

I'm in a windy spot in the US. I am 155 lbs. I have a 2017 Pivot 6 & 8 and I predominantly ride a surboard-directional. I pretty much only kite when it's 6 or 8 & I get a lot of days. I don't miss having a bigger kite than an 8!!!! :o :o :o :o

Re: Swimming Is The Best Exercise....

...... I am 64 in a few weeks, and feel 20 years younger, but once you get into a routine of going to the gym and pool early morning before breakfast the afternoon sessions on the water feel fantastic. it has amazed me how much fitter you need to be to really get the best out of foilboarding, you c...

Swimming Is The Best Exercise....

Just thought I'd share this as I'm pretty stoked about it.... I've been kiting since the beginning of the sport, seen it all:) I've had injuries, broken bones, tendons, etc. I am turning 50 next year & over the last few my balance between kitesurfing & working has led me to a lot of time where I've ...

Re: Setting Yourself Up?

1) Cut your monthly spending as much as possible by reducing unnecessary expenses. Sure, making a ton of money is great, but the absolute size of your account is less relevant than the percentage of it that you're able to invest. So if you can live off $3k/month, that allows you to retire sooner on...

Re: Setting Yourself Up??????

There are two ways to do it. Make more or want less. Sell all your crap and move someplace windy warm and cheap. SOON. Not much help I know but it does work. Love it. Along with the Bitcoin suggestion. Moving somewhere cheap is the long goal, Right now I'm not far from the SF Bay & I know if I cash...

Setting Yourself Up?

Here's the deal...as I get older, get a little bit more saved etc. I look forward to the day where I can just rely on investments & enjoy watersports most of the time. I kite, surf, sup, swim, run etc. Many of the guys I've known over 25 years in watersports have set themselves up financially so tha...

Glad you made it. You are 1000% right to make this video. We all need a reminders on this. It is bullshit that nobody came to check on you.

Re: Best kite specific 3/2 wetsuit

I've been buying & using wetsuits for 30 years. Surfing, windsurfing & now kitesurfing for a total of 30 years buying & using windsurf specific, surf specific wetsuits. There's no difference except that the surf suits are better. Kitesurfing is surfing. I've never had a wetsuit wear out in any areas...
