Re: air bubbles

Hi guys, I just want know if any of you have an issue with some sort of micro air bubbles which makes the glass fibers whitish not trasparent in low thickness laminates? I guess it could be related to a relatively high pressure applied by vacuum bag. There is no whitish fiber issue in atmospheric pr...

Re: Opensource Courseboard

I think IKA will not register the boards made in various places and various layups. Making a mold is not a problem. I plan to make one after the summer. But what can you do with the mold? Inject PU foam in double wall sandwich? Attach some stringers as WoodeCookie? It is not an easy task and quality...

Re: Kiteboard graphics, need advice

Use a fine weave fiber cloth on top layer in order to get smooth surface. Max 80g/m2 plain weave. Also you can try to use a perforated sheet of PE instead of peelply or separation film. Re: Rocker needed for a cedar strip board

Depends on how much fibers are you going to put and concave also.
It will be -40% to -20% total but increasing towards the tips.
Concave increases slightly when rocker decreases.

Re: is equal for all?

Aguera CR64 and CR69 are made in Vietnam so its not a small bacth of 20 boards or so. When Aguera and Mike started shaping their boards there were no production rules of 30 boards and they were able to build few boards and run it in various competitions growing year by year. Now the doors are closed...

Re: is equal for all?

I suppose Aguera sold 10 times more boards than OP last year. Box rules will normaly slow down the development. Last few years were pretty intensive in terms of development but it will slow down and you would not have to buy new board each seasson. Twintip business is more lucrative for sure. you ri...

Re: is equal for all?

Tautologies you are alone here who wants to slow down the development of the raceboards and make hundreds in china in the same mold. Do you want the kite raceboard become the same as RS:X? Are you concerned that a local shaper can build a better board than North or Aguera within the same weight limi...
