Re: attach carbine hook to spreader bar

I change the rope every year to two years depending on how much groundboarding and snowkiting I do per year. How much saltwater sessions I get too. Water season is the #1 priority. The Core chickenloop has a pretty hard slippery cover with a wire core. Never had to replace the loop. I teather launch...

Re: attach carbine hook to spreader bar

I don't really like that setup. Puts the bar too far from the body. Resulting in potential, unintentional oversheeting, stalling the kite, loss of sheeting range for lulls and /or depower for max top end. Things get worse when carving, or riding toeside, or point high upwind. Kite needs to be trimme...

Re: Harness with Sliding spreader bar

Cheap to try. I picked up some Slingshot replacement center line from a bargain bin cheap and enough for 2 lines. Easy to try. Used big knots to tie to the ends of my spreader. Still have the hook on it. Doesn't get in the way. Quick to transition to the slider. Worked so smooth I had to look down t...

Re: Harness with Sliding spreader bar

Aside from the benefits already mentioned when walking, body dragging, and riding toeside I like the improvement in my range of motion this makes any kind of carving feel more fluid and natural to me.

Whenever I try a hooked in spreader bar its like some has put me into a straight jacket.

Re: Peter Lynn Charger 3

I just saw one for sale second hand: https://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/kites-kitesurfing/kitesurfing/listing-1785517591.htm?rsqid=2156b0e85c364d74bc7cc691debc9b94 I used to fly an Arc back in about 2002. A kite with auto-zenith could be awesome for hydrofoiling in light winds when others are struggl...

Re: WOO 3 mount soo bad

Can WOO 3.0 be used with 2.0 mount? Yes. WOO3 is still waterproof. I think they did the case to eliminate likelihood of contact corrosion. Some earlier woos leaked too. So its extra protection. I use the woo2 mount. After use, the woo sits in a pool of water in the mount. Remove the woo after use a...
