Vertical Stabilizer on Liquid Force Rocket Foil

Has anyone tried sticking a vertical stabilizer (like a twin tip fin) on the Rocket Foil, and does it make much difference?

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

Hydrofoiling is not easy, even very talented (professional) kitesurfers admit to finding it hard or a challenge. There are also some considerable risk factors involved even in light winds - getting a foil in the face, lines wrapped about the foil etc Anything that can make the first few tries easier...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

Short mast makes hydrofoiling alot safer and easier - I would not say it is a waste of time. Hydrofoiling is a dangrous activity, especially in the early phases. I agree there is definitely a temptation to stay on the short mast too long, I am certainly in this camp.

Re: SupaEZ Where have you been?

K, I did a bit of that. Just a quick skim back and I can't really find any clearly offensive hate or language from either. Nothing that crosses the line that's for sure. I dont think I ever saw SuperEZ posting anything especially offensive, he was just extremely obsessed with the light wind claims ...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

I'm 75 hours into it and flying around easily. But a year ago I was still surface riding. It takes some time, and spending 2-4 sessions just learning to ride on surface, in control, keeping up wind, us worth the effort. It gives you confidence. You have to be able to taxi on the run-way before take...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast ADVICE

Thank you. So I’m not the only one. What do I need to adjust or do differently? I mainly ride my shorter mast now so cant really advise you too much. I think you need to get up on foil quicker and not spend so much time surface riding at speed. With a shorter mast surface riding is alot easier in my...

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast Advice

You gotta realise that you are riding a wing under water, not the board. Forget the board. Don't think. Feel the wing. It's kinda new age, zen thing. You'll get it after some hours. The issue is how the length of the mast effects the feel of the board before takeoff, not once you are on the wing. I...

Re: SupaEZ Where have you been?

The other one highlight in the forum's history has to be the now locked 142 pages thread INF BS from pmu w/ ez & oldnb I cant remember the chronology since I cant find any of it on the Forum history, perhaps it was destroyed by Toby for legal reasons, but I think it was that thread that lead to the...

Re: SupaEZ Where have you been?

I think the lightwind showdown between Dimitri and SuperEz must be one of the highlights of the forums history.

Re: Going from Short Mast to Long mast ADVICE

From my own experience there is a massive difference between the 60cm and 1m Liquid force mast for the Foil Fish. Surface riding the 60cm mast feels like riding a surfboard with a big fin. Full length mast totally different feel
