Re: Shinn P Foil Beginner Observations

Did you use the full length mast on the LF Foil? I have found the 60cm is alot easier.

Re: A caes for full face?

I only wonder how long they will stand up to salt H20? I also have seen ice hockey helmets with minimal bars that look like they will do the trick. Might start looking into downhill mountain bike ones with cage as well! R H Saw my good hurt friend again today, we have MANY, MANY, started KBHF 2009 ...

Re: A caes for full face?

Easy - Ozone Nutshell paragliding helmet with optional chinguard. Pretty much exactly the answer for your issue I would have thought? Ozone helmet.jpeg Says on the Ozone website that its not designed for water use though. Telling you guys....a full face shield in the water is nothing but a major an...

Re: A caes for full face?

In this video showing Richard Branson and Barack Obama kitesurfing, Branson is wearing a helmet with something protecting his face. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vqhw8kxVd2o Anybody know what make this helmet is? Might well be a white water kayak helmet. https://www.escape-watersports.co.uk/equip...

Depending on conditions I sometimes wear this:

Might be overkill but makes me feel invulnerable. Pretty lightweight feels like a Gath helmet

Re: LF Rocket Foil mount position

I use 2 foot hooks (front and back) so my feet are always in the same position. I put the foil right at the back and I use the forward back hole positions so my back foot is over the front of the mast. I find it easier if it takes effort to foil up so you dont dolphin as much.

Re: What are your Worst Accidents Hydrofoiling?

FWIW I spent all summer on a 50cm mast (labeled at 45cm, but 50cm actual) and 10/6m Airush DNA's that my daughter happily loaned me (see, I knew there would be payback for those 4 years of college expenses! :remybussi:). My riding spot is too shallow for my 90cm and I had a 70cm mast backordered al...

Re: Shinn Jackson foil 120

Although I dont have the Shinn Foil (I have the LF) I have had quite a few Shinn boards over time and I have always thought there construction was pretty good so I am surprised at these claims. That said people have also been posting that the LF hydrofoil/board is a also badly constructed which is d...

Re: Happy foil board inserts loose.

I contacted Liquid Force about this since I use foothooks on the Rocket Fish board. They said there should not be any problem using foothooks on their boards so it might be a factory defect that has been made worse by using Foot Hooks.
