power strap length

Just a quick question folks...
Should the power strap be ´long or short´when you are entering the water for safety?

Wind range for beginners

Hi, I weigh 65 kgs and have bought a 12m kite. What would be a good wind range to get things going? I don't want to freak myself out and be put off. 4-7m/s???

Line lengths..

I've recently had kite surfing lessons and want to buy some gear now, what line lengths should I have on the kite, 22m or 27m.

Thanks

NAISH BARS

I read the topic regarding the problem with the Naish bar yesterday and wonder if the new UDS or SSS safety systems have rectified the grommet wear problem. Also what is the difference between these two?????
