Re: Dreamland (A Cabrinha Kitesurfing Film)

Im backing you up Mario. Look at the latest Tarifa strapless contest. These pro riders can ride however they want for all I care. There are some legit aerials you can do on a surfboard, launching off waves instead off having to slow down to go over them for example. But most of what theyre doing ove...

Re: 2018 Cabrinha Switchblade 10m Issue’s

I think there can be high barpressure on the SB and its a nuisance, but I would say its not the kite causing it, its an out of tune bar causing it. Well not entirely the bar to blame: I kind of like to see the third knot for the backlines removed from the kite. I experience the bp light to medium. F...

Re: Black Marks Off Cabrinha Depower Line?

Obviously only guys here on kf. A cabrinha girl would end this thread immediately.
I could do it to but I will leave you with the girl hint. Its been long since the black bothered me.

Come to think of it, I wonder if there are health issues involved with the smudge... :-?

Re: Cabrinha Drifter vs North Neo - Who tried both of them?

So now youre going to tell me that 2013 was the last year of heavy bar pressure right ? I demoed the 2014 switchblade too. Clint, It doesnt really matter whether I represent Cabrinha or not. Im simply stating a fact, namely that line stretch causes faulty setup if not properly dealt with. Same goes...

Re: Cabrinha Drifter vs North Neo - Who tried both of them?

Ive never flown the neos but i owned drifters. Pros- it does everything it claims it does drifts killer ! Turns fast ! Cons- cabrinhas have always had tons of bar pressure and the drifter is no expection. The bar pressure is too much to bare for a wave kite. Classic example of a faulty setup. Why i...

Re: Short lines, short bars on fast turning wave kites

I agree with this, as long as the waves you have are big enough. In small waves, I'd much rather use the power of the kite. Thanks for agreeing. Dont know what you mean by 'small waves', but look up some of the good surfers riding small waves and be amazed. Well at least I was. For riding the wave ...

Re: Short lines, short bars on fast turning wave kites

Some fair comments I must say, despite that they are not fully down with the full surf style. Thats fine ofcourse, as I myself have gone that same route over the years. I guess in the end most of us will evolve towards the surf style anyway. Not just because surf style feels good, but also because i...

Re: Short lines, short bars on fast turning wave kites

Q. Why need short lines? A. You dont. Cause and effect: Shortening lines is the attempt (effect) of a rider to speed up his kite, because he is unable (cause) to do multiple turns on a wave. Q. Why is he unable to do multiple turns? A. Because he is kiting, not surfing. Overspeeding the speed of the...

Re: European vs American kite culture

As a U.S. citizen ... Question. Are you a U.S. citizen, or are you an American? BIG difference. As a U.S. citizen you're pretty screwed. You are employee of a corporation called the UNITED STATES, a sly way to deceive Americans into believing they are dealing with the real government of the states ...

Re: Weird puzzle: Perfect bar & lines but Switchblade hardly

If I remember correctly the 2007's were using bridle lines that are prone to ''shrinking''. Yes, shrinking that is. Im talking about the dyneema bridlelines that are running through the pullies. The main culprit is the part of the bridle that is connect to the rear flying lines. On that part there a...
