Re: Second hand twin tip advice?

You wont go wrong with a Shinn board..I would say for you Red - will get you back in the saddle with ease Dundee - a refined ride but no OAP Monk - the allround hooligan does it all all eat the chop and are great on the knees, 42cm width will be nice for you to cover lighter days, should be plenty d...

Re: Blade Prime 2012/13

Motion I love my 9m 2012 prime and its one I kept instead of upgrading with the rest of my quiver, solid performer, powerful, boosty, turns on a sixpence and loops great! Low end is not as good as the Trigger obviously but good technique will get you through..top end is just nuts!!.. . .Not ridden 2...

Re: Review Shinn Speedball

Have taken the Speedball W16 out for some full day sessions in powered 9m wind and lighter days , waves and chop recently... Jumped on, (85kg) and going straight away, bit more of a rough and ready ride compared to the creamy smooth SS but I liked the feedback it gives you, solid in the water but st...

Re: Freeride Board Recommendations

I'm mostly interested in cruising, carving, and occasionally big air with simple rotations and board offs. I want to avoid boards that are going to be constantly spraying me in the eyes. Something comfortable and simple. My local conditions are - always choppy, often gusty - Newport, RI area if any...

Re: Shinn Monk 2

Yep that size will be fine for you, I am 85kg and ride both the 41 and 42 widths in the shinn range, the 42 will cover you when its less exciting wind, the Monk really comes alive when its blowing!! Enjoy!!..

Re: Kite flutters in high winds. Advice

Madmax I take my Blades out in all conditions and suffer no flutter.. I think riding them on a Naish bar with probably a longer throw than Blade bar may allow you to over depower the kite which could cause flutter? Brand swopping bars with lines equal length will work but will need trimming to take ...

Re: Blade's 5th Gen Trigger - A brand new profile shape

ChristoffM, the new triggers still have the bridle setting options as on the 2012, - standard and wave, in a strong wind I would be pulled off a wave face in standard setting but 20 secs to change the bridle and you have a kite that behaves impeccably on the waves not unlike Vertigo feel... like hav...
