Re: Help with my foil starts

Long bay is tough...especially by the kite beach on the north end. I would suggest going as far south as you can go...the water gets deeper the further south you go. There are a few public access beaches as you go south on long bay beach rd. Just past Windhaven Villas is a good one. I have foiled t...

Seeing as you have to get going on board first.
Then you need shorter mast or deeper water.
Sure but I see guys hop up on foil real quick.

yes it can be frustrating there,a 60cm mast is essential. Talk to the guys at Kite Provo and they will direct you to a spot about 3 km north east of long bay where you can foil with along mast
Thanks will check that out

Help with my foil starts

I'm down in Turgs, Longs bay and I'm just getting killed on my foil. The water is super shallow and I'm trying to ride my ghost whispers, 105 cm mast with a Moses 590. I keep hitting bottom Before I can get on foil. I'm trying to find deeper water but having no luck. Any tips how to get this thing o...

Re: Offshore Wind

Punta San Carlos has the perfect offshore wind. You need to be confident when riding there.

You would think for $3,000 a week, they would have a rescue boat there but they do not.

Re: Anyone try the LiP Sunglasses (is Zeiss worth the extra $) ?

I have a pair, i was using the Kurtis Glasses before them. These stay on your face better and have a better lense.
I ran out of the Kurtis spray for his lenses and the glasses became useless. I tried to contact them for months with no luck.

Re: My first long swim

6) Otherwise put kite LE down in the water behind you and slowly swim back using alternating strokes to avoid cramping (I use mostly side crawl) I dont understand, you put he LE behind you and swim, with it, and you are pulling it? How do you do that with all the lines disconnected? Use an extra le...

Re: Cabrinha PU mainline depower tube

Yes I did change out the main line in the tube . Not the easiest task but doable. Do not leave your bar in the sand with tube ends into the wind and wash the bar off and flush and dry ,make sure your safety can move freely in the tube. About all you can do unless you go tubeless. So i have a fireba...
