Re: Andersson Foils Bi-Directional

If twin tip boards were not available in kiteboarding, I doubt it would become so popular. Bi-directional foil has much more appeal to TT riders - believe it or not, but they don't want to jibe, no matter how awesome you think it feels! I'm actually excited about these new foils, even though I'm hap...

How difficult can it be to make a carbon fuselage?
They do make a carbon fuselage: ... -fuselage/

It weights 2.5 times less than their aluminum one - it makes for a very nice ride and a pleasure to jump with.

Re: Naish Foiling 2018

New Hover 130 looks very interesting. I wonder how they inserted tracks into such a thin board. Waiting for a real product reviews!!!

Re: 2018 LF Thruster Foil

The new fuse looks to be about the same weight as their 2017 aluminum fuselage. However they do have a carbon version of 2017 fuse which weighs around 1.1 lb. I hope they will make 2018 carbon fuselage version as well :thumb:

Re: 2018 - Cabrinha Kitesurfing

Thanks for your feedback, but I respectfully disagree. The wings don't need redesign. They do exactly what we want them to do. They easily get people going on their first foilboard, provide for high lift and maneuverability, and have extremely high durability. These wings also float as does the mas...

Dude, stepping on those nuts is going to hurt like hell. Use t-nuts at least, any proper fasteners store will have four of M8 stainless for you.

Also move the rear strap 2" back and I'd suggest to give a try to 15" mast first
Right on, just what I was going to say :thumb:

Any solution for whistling noise of Spitfire ?
Get a different mast. I tried Zeeko wings on TKF mast and custom fuselage - almost no noise, just a little whisper on higher speed. Sharks beware

Re: How much would you happily pay for a foil board

"happily" and "pay" are incompatible words in my dictionary :D :D :D

Fair price varies widely depending on the board :naughty:

Re: 2 or 3 straps

2 front straps for me, way easier to jibe. Switching from 1 front strap to 2 feels weird for about 15 minutes (slightly different balance), but after that I'd never go back. About back strap - I never even consider taking off JUST the back strap. If you can't jump, why have any straps at all? For me...

Re: Is Shinn going to produce his own foil?

Multiple positions for rear strap is not only about moving it against the foil. For me it is mostly for adjustment of your stance width. Everyone has a preferred stance, would be nice to be able to fine tune straps for it. You can do it with front straps too, but it requires more inserts there (usua...
