Re: Blade Kites

I used to fly a quiver of Blade Triggers and was happy with them. I've since moved on to LF Solos and am happier with them though. The Trigger is: - a kite that likes to be actively flown, not park and ride - great low end if you are willing to work the kite, my 10m Trigger could match my 12m Solo (...

Re: Back to the roots of hydrofoiling ?

I think the wing on the old airchairs looks the most like the Slingshot H4 wing, which has now become their default kite wing. On the other hand though airchairs were designed to be ridden starting at 20 knots while all the current surf foils 20 knots is the top end and many go as low as 8 knots.

Neil Pryde Glide Reports/Reviews?

Anyone got their hands on an NP Glide foil yet? Very curious to see what they are like.

Interesting to note that their sizing seems like:
L is more like an XL
M is more like an L
S is more like an M

Re: Best Lightweight Versatile Surfboard

If you want inserts you'll have to pay $$$ and end up with a board you'll be more worried about.

Just skip the inserts and get the best kite surf surfboard there is, the Wave Bandit Performer 4-10:

This thing is amazing to ride and only costs $150.

Re: Thailand: Hua Hin vs Rawai (Phuket)

Phuket is a lot bigger than Hua Hin so you need to understand where you stay oh Phuket will greatly influence what you think of it. There are some great beaches and you get the option to surf. Patong is a bit crazy but can be a lot of fun, still lots of sex tourism but no where near as bad as Pattay...

Re: Kitesurfboard

Yeah, I love getting down to the Oregon coast, usually go every summer. Only thing I hate is how cold the water is! In this Westport, WA video the current was pretty vicious and I had to walk up the beach a few times, it was LW though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKSUw1CHzgU In this Fort Steven'...

Re: Kitesurfboard

So here is my question - I was under the impression that doing a downwinder in breaking waves was expressly for the purpose of the rider not having to fight their way out to the outside. And if you do go to the outside, "doing a downwinder" allows you to stay on the inside while riding downwind unt...

Re: For an absolute newbie

If you are going to try and learn to foil before learning to ride a TT or surfboard you for sure need to start with the Slingshot 38 cm or 44 cm masts. Anything else is just going to take you forever to learn.
