Re: Recommend me 12-13m kite for strapless freestyle w/ excellent low end?

I'm very happy with my LF Solo 12m for strapless freestyle, especially with my finless skim in as low as 10 knots (73 kg).

Re: Shinn El Stubbo

el Stubbo was filling nicely the gap for somebody who was mainly foiling but wanted to be able to ride it with fins and wanted something shorter than the Shinnster. That's not too much of a gap though. I think if you have the requirement for riding foil or not you have to accept some length in your...

Re: Best gloves for kiting

- Mesh helps for windchill but the durability is shorter. - Thickness helps, but to much gives cramp. - Gloves with bended fingers helps an lot for cramps in de underarms I always go for a mesh glove or mitten where the fingers are bend. The NPX mitten is the most warm glove I've had. http://cdn1.b...

Re: best SUP for super light wind kiting

12-15 knots is 12m wind.

Also I kite SUP on my inflatible Uli 10-0, which has small surf fins and very round rails and I can bury them and go upwind easily in as low as 8 knots.

Re: best SUP for super light wind kiting

Has anybody actually pulled a SUP on a kite ? I'd love to hear from him or her I've done it several times. I take my Uli Gerry Lopez 10-0 inflatable SUP out with 1-3 kids and me on the board with my 12m or 17m kite in 8-15 knots of wind. With me and 1 kid I it planes fine and can go upwind easily, ...

Re: Fireball & Swivel Danger

Had my fireball setup for more than 50 sessions now. I would not go back to the old loop. Far better. So are you careful to always grab hold of your QR with your palm and operate the swivel with your fingers? Even if you are careful to use the swivel that way are you confident that if your kite bro...

well its about time for the yearly cabrinha recall anyway, isn't it?
I'd rather be riding gear that I trust the company to actually do the recall if it's needed. I view Cab's recalls as a positive.

Re: Fireball & Swivel Danger

So I did some more testing and my concerns are even worse now. How is nobody else having this issue with Fireball? Especially those who wear 5mm gloves in winter. Once you get 3-4 rotations it's very likely that the clip can block the QR pin when you release: Fireball_QR_Block.jpg In this picture I'...

Re: Sure bet places for wind?

The others I've not spent long enough at to tell but I didn't think Squamish would have 95% wind days either? 2016 summer I think we hit 38 days in a row of 12m or smaller wind. Looking over 2017 summer there are only 2-3 days that weren't rideable: SquamishWind1.png SquamishWind2.png SquamishWind3...

Re: Fireball & Swivel

So I gave Fireball a shot and the ball rotates in the socket far easier than the swivel and thus I end up with my short Cabrinha leash wrapped 2-3 times around the part that stays attached to the harness after release. This is very dangerous for 2 reasons: 1) It creates a fixed tether to the bar via...
