Re: High wind surfboards

Same advice: The Kontacts are fast, are not bothered by chop and won't loose the edge at high speed bottom turns. You can even use them for speed-crossing races when it's blowing strong. Being fast and carvy, they are also perfect for strapped big air. I had a 5'10" Kontact from 2010 or 2011 then I...

Re: Will spleene ever make the zone board again???

I don't know where you are located (Europe?) but there is a shaper in the south of France that produce such board : http://rootshapesnews.blogspot.fr/p/slice.html , two standart size (but custom size available if you wish). His boards even if still confidential are more and more famous. It is a kind...

Re: splitboard - newind

Regarding the Newind surfkite split board, could you tell us if it is dedicated for waves or is it more a kind of allround directionnal board. I have had for 3-4 years a Newind split TT Waves and I strongly recommand that board for travelling. However now, on my home spot I use most of the time a su...

Re: Wind in Altura (Algarve) in August.

actually it's not that bad. In July and August you have many days over 15 knots. The typical thermals come from WSW and they increase towards the evening. In that sense it's an ideal place to take the family, where you can spend a nice day at the beach with the kids and then have a late afternoon s...

I will try to move to Alvor but...
