Re: What to look when buying a second kite for your set?

Hi the 9m Bandit is a sweet kite. My wife rides it all the time, and I do too when the wind picks up. As for trying another brand, the bandit bar has a higher Y split. So not all kites may work well with that. Also you'll definitely need some pigtails to reverse loops/knots. Another brand that has a...

Re: Water starting Technique different?? Short Mast vs Long??

With a longer mast it's harder to tilt the board onto its side. I put my knee on the closer rail, and pull the other rail towards me.

Foot hook covered with that foam and shaped with a belt sander.
If you have one, a belt sander eats away that foam smoothly, and quickly.

Loop a kite line around the valve and pull. See 4:15 on this video:

Re: Building a Plywood Shinnster / BRM Paipo

Imo, two 4mm layers should be enough with some fiberglass. If you add a bit of concave, it'll probably be stiff enough with minimal amount of glass.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Is that Shinnster reinforced in any way? How are the straps installed? I have the same one and considering if it's worth converting it to a foilboard. Could you please share the conversion process if possible? You'll need the special 'foil plate' for the Shinnster by Shinn. It is a long carbon or a...

Flysurfer Cronix still worth buying?

Hi,

I have the opportunity to buy an used Flysurfer Cronix 10m for 250 euros including the bar. I have plenty of kites, but I have always been curious about these. Is it still worth buying today?

Re: board with camber?

Guys, I finally finished the board, and rode it today for the first time. I am surprised at how well it rides. I don't know if it's the fins or flatter tips, it just does not carve as well as a mako, it does not have that grip during carving. Other than that, very nice board, really pleased with it....
