Re: iwatch setting question

Many apps out there. Strava and Waterspeed are the ones I use the most. I used to use Xensr Sessions, but not anymore after finding out how inaccurate it is. Built in activity tracker is very basic, does not even have the maximum speed reading... North PIQ app, even without the PIQ can be used to tr...

Re: Apple Watch 3 Apps

I have Xensr sessions on my watch and use it to track my jumps. The other day I rode a friends board with a North PIQ, and to my disappointment, I found the Xensr app reports about %30-40 less jump height.

Re: Chrono V1 tip tucking

Hi Horst, Thanks for your quick and prompt response. So, if I got you right, tip tucking is not possible to solve at mixer level? Elongating AR2 seems to be the easier way. Since it's not my own kite, I'd prefer to get it flying reasonably well with the least effort possible. How many centimeters do...

Chrono V1 tip tucking

Hi,

A friend has a Chrono V1 that keeps tucking its both tips very often. Did a long mixer test and extended B by 2cm, C by 4cm and K by 4cm according to the test, but it still tucks tips just as often. What would be the proper way to treat this ?

Re: Another DIY foil

You do not really need to trace splines over airfoil images. Almost all CAD tools can import a list of coordinates into a spline, and do does SolidWorks. Check this video out You can find h105.dat file online, and draw a wing in a matter...

Re: Another DIY foil

Hi Kosta, Awesome thread! I myself was considering 3d printing some wings. I know epoxy does not bond to PLA, but how about ABS or HIPS ? For a recreational foil, I guess one can get away with an imperfect wing profile. Also, how do you decide how much to thin a profile, and why at all? Thanks for s...

Re: Any waterproof bluetooth headphones out there?

I have the Sony Mp3 player with bluetooth. I use it to listen to music using it's internal memory. I have it on me every time I kite, and holds up fine so far. https://www.amazon.com/Sony-NWZWS613BLK-Bluetooth-Sports-Wearable/dp/B00N32I3FG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510251666&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+ws613...

Re: Apple Watch Series 2...

Great news! Looking forward to my next session. As for features, it would be nice if it was possible to see maximum and average speed while riding.

Re: Apple Watch Series 2...

Cool app! Will try it next time I kite. One problem I noticed is that, even though you can change units via the phone app, on the watch it still shows imperial units.

BTW, can you comment on the jump height accuracy compared to xensr device?

Re: What to look when buying a second kite for your set?

Hi the 9m Bandit is a sweet kite. My wife rides it all the time, and I do too when the wind picks up. As for trying another brand, the bandit bar has a higher Y split. So not all kites may work well with that. Also you'll definitely need some pigtails to reverse loops/knots. Another brand that has a...
