Re: Bird Strike?

I've had a big clumsy seagull get PIT manuevered off my 5th line, rotating and bouncing headfirst off the steering line and regaining forward flight in approximately the same trajectory and height, I think we both had a laugh !

Re: Are boots soft on hard landings?

I also have the Echo wakestyle board so my landings are very soft now. Will try 15 degrees next time and see from there what feels better. Where I kite has a very defined season and I find that I will change my stance angles slightly as the season goes by, little bit back and forth depending on wha...

Re: RB King of the Air 2015 - all info here

damn that final video was boring as paint drying in a light breeze.

why'd they film from so far away and then just focus on the rider and ignore the kite? its like they used a motion stabilization filter to make it less exciting.

Re: Are boots soft on hard landings?

Sorry Dre is just dropping a bunch of tech words to fill a 4 minute vid. Most of the advantages of 'rocker' in terms of chop are having a longer effective hull thats going to average out the nasties. For the record I ride boards 140+ as a rule because they tend to ride more crest to crest than down ...

Re: Are boots soft on hard landings?

Board rocker has very little to do with landings no matter what anyone here says, the shape even of a stiff board will be completely distorted even with my 150lb mass coming down on it. Boots will allow you better control though to pull a misaligned landing back underneath you, and allow you to land...

Re: Are boots soft on hard landings?

Boots will be way better because your foot, ankle and knee will be able to work together to land you, if you're wearing straps at best you're able to land aligned, at worst you're adjusting your feet ankles and knees to hold the straps onto your feet. Boots will allow your foot to be relaxed and in ...

Re: Liquid Force Response bar review

The push release looks like its a bunch of hard edges, I guess most of the geezers on here won't really unhook and think about it smashing into fingers or teeth or lips if you drop the bar though... Lots of bars have had below the bar swivel, flexifoil, airush. Welcome to 2008 though ! Hope the bars...
