Re: Free kite plans on GitHub

A quick update on my WingWorks Agilus 7m. Flew Mzingly well straight off the sewing machine. however I soon paid the price of using cheap ripstop of unknown provenannce, within half a dozen sessions the canopy had stretched so much it was unflyable. So have made new canopy and stitched onto original...

Re: Free kite plans on GitHub

Thanks for the positive comments om the Agilus build. Hopefully these will work now- rough and ready but it gives an idea of the potential downunder - I had previously only made stunt kites and put patche...

Re: Free kite plans on GitHub

I contacted Karsten 6 months ago after reading this thread - I mentioned that i am a great fan of strutless kites, already o...

Re: Strutless gems - BRM clouds compared to Storm Voyager?

Hi - as the OP thanks for all your responses - most enlightening. After 13 odd years of kiting, hydrofoils and strutless kites have really rekindled my passion this year. Now I can go some way to answering my own original question, as I now have both brands in the van. Sylvain at Storm was helpful a...

Strutless gems - BRM clouds compared to Storm Voyager?

Hi - I have been riding a quiver of BRM Clouds for 6 months (7C2, 10 C1, 14.5C2). I love them for riding strapless surfing, and now Find That They Are Most Excellent for foiling too (very light, wonderfully quick, incomparable drift, loads of deower) However I now find I need a 5m - can anyone compa...

Re: How to set up Wainman Rabbits for Tight Turning?

hey hey hey - out on the Bunny well powered up today, upwind/fast setting and your advice is sound. The turning is transformed- much more flickable and friendly. As guerro said "you can really get her to pivot, pull the bar in and turn then release, and there she goes!!!!!", or just ride toward it a...

Re: How to set up Wainman Rabbits for Tight Turning?

thank you all - really helpful stuff. i had a quick fly of the bunny on the beach today on upwind settings and there certainly feels like there is more 180 degree quick flick ability. Will the kite drift as well on these settings as on the downwind set-up?If the forecast holds I should be able to tr...

How to set up Wainman Rabbits for Tight Turning?

Hi - I have just switched from Eclipse Kimas to the Wainman Rabbits (9, 7.5,5) and generally having a lot of fun. I am however struggling a bit to replicate throwing the kite from 9 `0`clock to 3`0`clock ( and vice versa) when doing top/bottom turns without the kite climbing higher in the window and...

Feedback from Friends of Mr Green Please

I`m thinking of a quiver rejig and was wondering how people were getting on with their Wainman 7.5s? Whats its low end, and when would you want to put it away and get something smaller? I'm 65kg on a surfboard so dont need too much to get me up and running and was thinking this could be great for th...
