If you want to get by for kite and cable then a Tona is a good choice, however, it's still a compromise. Cable boards are fairly specific these days and it's worth having the right tool for the job. Hands down Ronix. I like the Cells. Also like the CWB JT's. Both are light and comfy.

Go do some wake boarding if possible. Cable wakeboarding is especially good at building solid wakestyle skills as it's almost dead center in terms of feel between boat wakeboarding ( really hard and unforgiving) and wakestyle kiteboarding.
