bow recovery after a line break

Just in case I am missing something obvious : SB1, rigged with one of the centrelines leashed as a re-ride. The leashed line snapped at the kite and the kite started spiralling, twisted itself and plonked iteself onto the water. The bar was fully depowered but despite this, the pull from it was enou...

A modification of the bridle in some form will almost certainly happen in the near future. I am looking at the bridle of my 16CB to try to figure it out : it doesn't make much engineering sense at the moment, I see a 2:1 at the bar and then a 1:2 at the kite sited with very poor machanical leverage....

Go4.... If its any use, I have the CB16m and am finding it VERY dissapointing, similar problems to yourself : sloppy bar, on/off power, zero turning on any bar setting other than full power, kite continuously trying to fly into the water, very heavy bar pressure and poor upwind performance. I've tri...

Thanks for the help Steve, the leader-line swap was done before I took the kite out. I'll try to give it a go without edging/pulling too hard next time. I was about to chop the Xbow in and wait for the North flat kite to come out, but I'll persevere for the moment and see what can be achieved. Anoth...

Xbow flying problems, help needed

Finally got my 16m Xbow and took it out on the weekend : standard bar, checked for correct line lengths. Low end grunt is only average (less than vegas 18m), relaunch is great, bar pressure is stupidly high, 30 mins on the water and I had to come in for a rest, I usually cruise for hours not the cas...

interesting idea DrL. very much an engineering solution. 2 questions if you don't mind : the distance from where the rope leaves the clutch to the steel retaining loop on the bar is quite long, does this increase significantly the effort required to turn the kite...it looks to be a long lever you're...

The "super turbo" pumps or BRAVO all come from an Italian manufacturer called Scoprega.....quality doesn't appear to be their strength. At the local shop over half of the bravo pumps sold failed within 3 months of purchase. I have been through three all with different problems : high volume pump bur...

Abel, I have been using my version of the three ring system for two years or more, as have about 30 other kiters in Australia. All the users love it. It works a treat, never fails, never pre-releases, hasn't worn at all, has very light release pressure and best of all is easy to self make : drop me ...
